Overview

40.569210 / -79.12655 This section of Yellow Creek is known locally as the Ferrier's run section, and runs about 2 to 3 miles towards Homer City.

A CLASSIC FREESTONER

A classic Freestone stream, it is accessible for wading, with several runs, pool and riffles all holding fish. An added attraction, in this stretch of water, exists the chance of catching large fish in the 18 inch plus range. These large fish come from a privateTrout fishing club a mile or so upstream. This club stocks their stretch of Yellow Creek every month, it's not unusual for some of these large stocked fish, to migrate into the Ferrier's run section of the stream.

Meandering through Pine tree, covered low hills and open fields, this stretch of Yellow Creek is well worth a visit and fishing, in this pristine part of Pennsylvania.
